With the coming of springtime, our minds and hearts celebrate life. After the dormancy of winter’s grip, we breathe deeply to savor the emergence of new leaves, budding blooms, and warming days. For believers, these annual hallmarks of new life go a step further and invite us to re-enliven our appreciation for the new life we have in Christ.
The coming of Jesus to Earth heralded a vision of living that had not been understood before. His words and actions called everyone to let go of pursuits tied to selfish desires and temporary accomplishments, and instead to go after the kingdom of God with its eternal purposes. Jesus’ death and resurrection, which we commemorate this month, made these new pursuits possible.
Hear the call of Jesus to embrace the new life He unveiled in Mark 1:15 (NIV): “The time has come; the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
John 10:10 – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

The daily journey to nurture your new life in Christ, like the burgeoning springtime, blossoms and creates a life of beauty and fruitfulness.
